Aero Club History

Örestens Flygklubb was founded August 11th 1966 at Vallgården Hotel in Skene.
This event was attended by twenty members to be. The interim board was constituted by:
Chairman: Lars von Braun
Secretary: Rolf Viktorsson
Member: Ingemar Bengtsson
At this initial meeting it was decided to found an aero club with the name Örestens Flygklubb.

The first permanent board of Örestens Flygklubb was elected August 18th 1966:

Vice-chairman: Stig Lantz
Secretary: Morgan Söder
Vice-secretary: Kjell Vinberg
Treasurer: Rolf Viktorsson
Members: Ingemar Bengtsson and Arne Bergvind
Despite the short time since the initial meeting, a lease for an airfield at
Örestens Gård had already been negotiated. The airfield currently used by the aero club
was taken into service July 15th 1982.
